Startup grind Cape Town is proud to host Aubrey Mnisi. Aubrey is the Founder and CEO of Sensorit.io, an automotive innovation company that uses IoT and AI to eliminate road accidents. He is a tech investor and founder of Black Unicorn Venture studio which is focused on black founded tech startups. He is also a co-founder of Swie.io, a platform that manufactures electronics on-demand.
Before founding Sensorit.io, Aubrey transitioned from being a qualified cost accountant at Bluekey to being a self-taught software engineer. He became a certified SAP consultant, relocated to Germany and traveled to 26 cities around the world.
Aubrey has led Sensorit.io to win the MTN “innovative hardware in IoT” award. He is also the CTO of Snakenation.io, a global organization empowering creators and coders to enter the global creative economy.
Aubrey was raised by a single parent in Khayelitsha and has had the entrepreneurial passion from the age of 17.
