Time: 1:00 am - 3:00 am
Andrea Böhmert, co-managing partner of venture capital fund Hasso Plattner Ventures Africa, will present a workshop on how to write a business plan on Friday 5 February from 13h00 – 15h00. Böhmert will highlight the typical shortcomings she sees in business plans submitted to her organization, explain what she likes to see in business plans and provide useful guidelines to follow when submitting a business plan to a venture capitalist. This presentation will be followed by discussion and a question and answer session.
As only one out of every 100 business plans received by funders ever gets funded, this is a valuable opportunity to increase you chances of getting funding for your startup.
Andrea is the chairperson of the CITI board, and an elected Silicon Cape steering committee member, who was famously called “a reality check” by Western Cape Premier, Helen Zille, at the launch of Silicon Cape in 2009. She pulls no punches when it comes to business. Her directness and no nonsense attitude are the “tough love” she gives entrepreneurs looking for guidance and support in launching their businesses and succeeding in today’s highly competitive IT environment.
This event costs R 100 including VAT, unless you are a member of CITI, student or academic, or staff member of PGWC, CoCT and non-profit organisations, in which case it is free. See http://www.citi.org.za/membership.html for more information on membership.
