Time: 8:00 am - 10:00 am
Cape IT Initiative (CITI) has invited Dave Gorshkov, UK Trade & Investment’s ICT Sector Champion for Asia, Middle East and Africa, to share his insights into what market opportunities exist for South African companies in the UK ICT market. He will also explain UKTI’s service offering, especially its programmes to help South African ICT companies access technology partnerships (R&D, technology transfer agreements) in the UK.
Dave has a BSc, MBA, Ieng, FIET and more than 25 years’ experience developing and managing high technology businesses in the UK and overseas (with a focus on telecommunications, defence, security, ITS and Automotive markets.) As a professional electrical and electronics engineer, he has managed numerous ICT and ITS product development opportunities and still plays a key role in the development of standards in CCTV and Video Analytics for transport applications in the UK and US. Dave’s most recent roles include supporting the UK’s inward investment teams in India, China, Japan, Korea and Taiwan as well as maintaining his own business relationships with investment banks and government agencies in the US and Middle East.
The event is free and will take the form of a presentation, followed by a discussion and question and answer session. It will be of particular benefit to export ready ICT businesses and R&D driven enterprises.
