Knee deep in preparations for the Third Software Engineering Colloquium in March. This is a very important event (convened by CITI and the IEEE Computer Society Chaper).
CITI will be running "conversations" about key agenda items before the Colloquium. We also intend for actions to be agreed at the Colloquium that will be implemented by the 32nd International Conference on Software Engineering which will be held in Cape Town from 2-8 May 2010.
The technical team has been very busy with the agenda items, which include:
* Rodney Lim Banda's amazing Cape Software Factory concept - which we will be explaining to groups in the weeks before the event
* The creation of a Cape software engineering marketing vehicle to maximise opportunities created by the 32nd International Conference on Software Engineering (ICSE) which will be held in Cape Town from 02-08 May 2010.
* Skills development, certification and continuing education for software engineers
* RICA and compliance
* Research Funding, Intellectual Property and access to Capital.
* Software Engineering Award
* Cloud Computing
* Agility and the Enterprise
* Open Source
* Green lifestyle
We hope the website for this event will be live soon.
