Are you looking to make a difference in the local tech scene? Want to help build your online presence or just contribute to driving entrepreneurship? We’re looking for someone ambitious to help us manage the Silicon Cape web portal. We need you to help manage the day-to-day as well as take initiative and build the 6000 strong community and following.

Key Responsibilities: 

Moderation of forums and discussions

Approve events in line with the events policy

New member moderation

Ensuring website resources are kept up to date and are valid

Moderation of event policy

Curate content and posts

Upload media related to newsletter and academy

Finding ways to increase engagement

Requirements (skills that will help in the position)

Passionate about their role within the SCI

Html, css, maybe even PHP or javascript

Web authoring skills

Attention to detail

This individual should have app 1 hour to spare each day.

Previous community management experience is useful

Previous Ning experience would be awesome

Salary: volunteer (negotiable)
