newcoza | because .co.za domain registration is a pain!

I've seen a lot of people complaining recently about what a pain it is to try and register a .co.za domain.

newcoza.co.za is a web frontend that will take care of all the formatting and whatnot, before firing off the registration email to UniForum. Connect your Facebook account, and it'll remember your information for the next time you need to register a domain, too.

Let me know what you think. Hopefully it makes life a little easier...

Hey George. There is no WHOIS API for SA or anything like that, but after you type a domain name in, there'll be a link which appears to check whether it is available.

Your website takes one straight away into a registration form.  It does not appear to be as useful as one which would also provide a "Whois"  type of  look-up that enables you to first check if the domain you wish to register  is in fact available.

I use cloud hosting for all of my stuff (Linode), but if you're looking for just simple shared hosting I can't recommend Texo more - great service and support!

I see, so you can register a domain, but hosting is extra?  Do you recommend any hosts?

It's just an interface to the usual co.za registration service, so you pay the R50 directly to UniForum as you usually do. I don't charge for using the service, though.

Doesn't say anything about pricing....
