Waytag Concludes Global Agreement with TomTom

Today TomTom Corporate announced a four year agreement with SA Startup Waytag whereby TomTom will deliver maps and Points of Interest to power Waytag's unique location platform. Waytag launched in 2009 with a mission to make location sharing and search simple by reducing long and complex address systems to one simple word – a !waytag. By equipping Waytag with global maps and Points of Interest, TomTom is supporting the ability to easily locate people, businesses and places around the globe.

This agreement places Waytag firmly amoung the very top ranking global location content providers. Over 18 million points of interest are already accessible via waytag addresses in 205 countries and a  "near me" search using any free Waytag iOS or Android app returns rich layers of location content in an instant. These results can be navigated to via TomTom or a number of other navigation applications in one easy step without the pain of having to bumble through complicated addressing enquiries.

The ability to reduce long, complicated addresses or GPS coordinates to one simple word is an exciting development in a world which is still grappling to simplify location and location based services. Waytag simplifies location while simultaneously addressing the issue of privacy which has long been a stumbling block to most location solutiions.

All companies should be encouraged to go through the simple process of registering a Waytag address for their business location. Your staff will now be able to spend more time telling your clients about your company than how to find you.

You are able to watch a short video at www.waytag.com  or look up a waytag, search for nearby companies and services or register a waytag of your own for your mobile location, home and business. Waytags are free.
