Don’t blow your budget this Christmas

Some top Pre-Christmas tips:

Keep a clear head – plan what you are going to spend and stick to it. Work out how many presents you need to get, and how much you can afford to spend.

Remember that presents are only the starting point; be realistic about the costs of food and drink, cards, wrapping paper and the other festive expenses.

Try to pay for as much of Christmas as you can using debit cards or cash.

Does exactly what it says on the tin

Never underestimate the power of simple words to reflect the most deeply held human traits. People like consistency, they like it very much; yet more than consistency what we want is the quality that is contained in the expression made famous by the Ronseal adverts, ‘it does exactly what it says on the tin’. Do… Continue

But government normally does not relinquish power once things stabilize. They keep the reigns in firm grip. Why I don’t know. It can be because of individual megalomania or of a grand hocus pocus conspiracies. And the fact of the matter is that power (even though rooted in good) becomes a magnet for corruption.… Continue
