Start a lift club at work. You might just be surprised at how many people could do with cutting back on their monthly fuel bill.
Replace traditional bulbs with the energy saving equivalent.
Insulate your geyser (geyser blanket) This is relativingly inexpensive and will help reduce your heating bill.
Start a small vegetable garden and grow your own fresh produce.
Improvise when it comes to keeping your kids entertained. (Formulae tins and toilet rolls make for great toddler toys)
Get creative with your gifts, homemade wrapping paper is a good place to start .
Calculate your budget and stick to it, be sure to put aside some money each month and remember to pay yourself first!
Buy in bulk whenever possible and practical.
Never pay debt with more debt.
Keep an eye out for sales, there are a lot of bargains to be had if you look in th eight places.
Sit down with your partner and plan your monthly budget, then stick to it!
Be disciplined and don’t give into temptation. Easier said than done, but this will go a long way to saying those important ‘pennies’.
