Profile Information

Who are you?
I'm the head of Computer Science at Stellenbosch University and before that spent 11 years in Silicon Valley working for NASA (Ames Research Center) and SEVEN Networks (a startup doing email for mobile phones).

Besides thinking the Western Cape has the potential for being a mini-SiliconValley, I love wine and these are the main 2 reasons I moved back from the US.

Hopefully the Universities around here can band together and solve the skills shortage we have to enable a SiliconCape to become a reality.
Where can you be found on the web, Twitter, LinkedIn, etc?
