Mansoor is South African born and bred and an experienced Chartered Accountant. He was appointed to his current position in the City of Cape Town in 2006 after returning from London, where he managed a recycling business. Prior to that, Mansoor worked in financial services in London where he held various management positions in the corporate headquarters of a FTSE100 corporation.
He completed his articles with Arthur Andersen & Co in Cape Town and soon thereafter played a key role in listing Old Mutual on the London Stock Exchange. Some of Mansoor’s achievements include the development of a ‘skype’ phone in London and China for use on laptops. He is passionate about the environment, and has previously been involved in sourcing second generation wind turbines from Denmark for reassembly in rural communities in Eastern Europe.
Mansoor Mohamed holds a B.Comm degree, an Honours B Compt from UNISA and a CA (SA) qualification, and is a member of the South African Institute of Chartered Accountants.
His preferred leisure activities are spending time with his family and cooking.
