Profile Information

Who are you?
Energizing Africa is an initiative dedicated to the promotion and implementation of practical technologies to assist with development and transformation in Africa.

The vision and initiative, is to use technology and transfer of skills, for people of Africa, to provide for the fulfilment of human needs, to further development.

An expression of our optimism in the future and the belief that looking for, supporting and fostering innovation for Africa is worthwhile. We don't know where the next great idea will come from, but with the help of many networks, co-creation and a growing team, we're going to keep looking, while working to help Africa succeed, by using enabling technologies.

Why? Internet and convergent technologies are one of the keys to reaching the underprivileged.

The aim? To leverage local African knowledge and inputs, with the expertise and experience of our cause network and global partners, to foster local solutions, to unique African challenges, while delivering real value and producing commensurate returns, for the risks involved.
How? By connecting to you, for your input and continually developing strategic partners, with the best of breed ethical personalities and services, seeking common purpose through co-creation with all willing parties, to minimise barriers of entry into markets and communities, and by providing simple platforms and services with your collaboration.

The heart of the initiative seeks and introduces technologies which would enhance a large proportion of the developing world's population (the BoP or "Base of the Pyramid")

Embracing the true needs of the people is the key, thereby enabling entrepreneurship, empowering its people and communities. All technologies must have a direct & positive influence on people, and do not need to be cutting edge. We seek simple and effective solutions.

Fulfilment of human needs, innate passion for the people, and ultimately providing hope for their future, comes from dedication of assisting transformation.

All the above will be a catalyst in enabling Africa to provide a platform to realise and unleash its full potential.

Energizing Africa is our vision and incentive for community upliftment

Embracing technology for everyday work and living is fundamental to the development of African economies and we look to see strategies for incorporating technology in all aspects of citizenry rise up the agenda’s of governments.
We are optimistic that some of the inventions required will emerge from the continent as individuals and organisations explore new and sustainable ways of applying emerging technologies.
In Africa we also have the opportunity to advance the way we engage now and in the future by ensuring that sustainability strategies are central to the way we adopt technology for work, learning and living out our daily lives.
Energizing Africa is dedicated to innovation through collaboration. Through the power of stories and design, computational power and data visualization, network effect and innovative fund-raising. Energizing Africa amplifies everyone’s efforts by orders of magnitude.
Energizing Africa has the vision, the mission, and the momentum. While our work is incredibly rewarding, none of it is easy, and it is challenging. With your help, though, we can make Energizing Africa the compelling, vibrant, and active participant we always imagined it to be.

Energizing Africa – partisan for transformation, enabling with technology.
