Simon de la Rouviere replied to Gavin Harvett's discussion Crowdfunding... Can it be useful?
"If think it works especially well for smaller projects where it is more personal. But that small initial burst might just be enough to get you started. So yes, crowdfunding will definitely help to get your ideas off the ground. I think so at least."

Profile Information

Who are you?
I was born, raised and educated in South Africa. In 1998 my wife and I followed our dream of travelling and ended up in Silicon Valley, California where I have been living and working since 1999. Having established my career and my family, I now want to relocate back to South Africa for personal and professional reasons.

I have over 15 years of global (South Africa, Europe and USA) experience in Project Management and Software Product Management. Passionate about applying technology and collaboration models to business settings, exceeding value expectations, and executing projects in an agile and organized manner. Proficient problem-solver who likes to analyze technical, economical and business perspectives for evolving a strategy. Articulate communicator who can blend technical knowledge and solid business acumen with interpersonal skills to interact effectively with customers, partners, executives and technical teams. Productive catalyst for change and innovation in a global and diverse workplace.
