- Who are you?
- DRL is the first people in South Africa to write anything about free software, intellectual property and piracy as technology and environment editor for South Press. In 1993 he travelled to California and met his hero, Stewart Brand.
An early adopter of Internet, while editor of Kagenna Magazine, Lewis had an account on the Whole Earth L'ectronic Link, the West Coast BBS where some of the more important debates about open-source and the WWW happened.
He is now active in the Ubuntu-ZA LoCo and is convener of ZA-FREE, an online group with a mission to liberate computers and the Internet.
