Who are you?
Siyavuyisa IT Solutions, is a 100% women owned company, focusing on empowerment of women and the youth in ICT.
The way we do this is through the deployment of WiFi Mesh Networks in the townships, and setting up IT Hubs with computers, scanners, fax machines, courier services, and typist as well as a projector for Adult Education Training Programs, and video training courses.
By teaching the women previously not exposed to computers and connectivity to the WWW, we create employment as well as stimulate entrepreneurship. The women become teachers, who teaches other residents on how to use the services thus creating and expanding our customer base. The woman will also sell the value added services, and airtime as well as other office hub services, earning an income.
We also offer back-haul for businesses and municipal organizations in the township.
Mesh technology offers a triplex network for simultaneous Video Voice and Data.
We have a unique Solar LED WiFi enabled Streetlight - providing simultaneous Light, Connectivity to telecommunications and can also accommodate a Surveillance camera for security.
We will also create WiFi hot spots for residents to connect with their own devices.
A mobile (bus) unit will be installed to move to more remote areas till suitable premises can be found.
Where can you be found on the web, Twitter, LinkedIn, etc?

Do you know of an organization that would sponsor participation on Africacom exhibition

I have an opportunity to participate at 10% of the normal fee but E4000 is still out of our reach. This would be the ideal tool to catapult our small business into the market.
If you know of organizations that would consider to sponsor us please let me know

Open source for CCTV any ideas

I have a problem. Fixing a CCTV system installed by some Cowboys, Bosch cameras, IP, PTZ and Fixed linked up to fiber. Endless problems and seems Bosch software cant cope no matter how hard we try. There are some other options I know of but very expensive and client wont pay more. Now I am looking at an option to use open source, anyone who can assist me it this please shout. Negative and positive feedback on this idea would be welcomed. This is rather urgent. Regards Audrey

Sillicon Cape event

Silicon Cape was great and quite an eye opener. For so long I felt so alone in my journey to bring better connectivity to the townships and its people, and help the women to earn enough to feed and educate their kids. We can certainly do with more networking events in Cape Town like this. Thanks for the platform to meet like minded people and get some fantastic… Continue
