Which event is right for you?
Silicon Cape Thirsty Thursdays (View the blog post)
One thing that has become very evident at previous Silicon Cape events is that there is nowhere that you can go to meet and interact with entrepreneurs and others working in the Silicon Cape community on a regular basis. We are hoping to change this with Silicon Cape Thirsty Thursdays. The idea is to have one set venue where you can go to every week to meet other people in the Silicon Cape, be they entrepreneurs, investors, developers, or anyone else who's interested in this space.
Thirsty Thursdays happen every Thursday with half price drinks at Alba lounge from 18:00 - 19:00.
Silicon Cape Academy (Silicon Cape)

Our aim is to assist you to become better, more successful entrepreneurs. We plan on presenting this on the second-last Thursday of the month.
The Geek Dinner event is a networking event for people who are passionate about technology, entrepreneurs, geeks and bloggers, though the angle is more technical - certainly a must for coders and programmers. It happens about once every two months and has a variety of speakers and demos.
27dinners seek to serve as a movement bringing together informed, networked individuals with a common passion for technology, media and business. Covering any hot topic, and with a slant towards Social Media, the informal real world space tends to meet the needs of entrepreneurs in the tech start-up sector. It usually happens on 27th of each month in one of South Africa’s main cities but seats go quickly so you have to be fast! @27dinner

Avatar Thursdays are about connecting people: students, entrepreneurs and anybody with an interest in Technology. Specifically the goal of the event is for students to meet prospective employers and given the diverse crowd we attract weekly this could be in a number of sectors that comprises anything from Academia to Renewable Energy. The weekly nature of the event has attracted quite a loyal crowd of people who pop in for an hour or so every Thursday morning at 10 to listen to a speaker or simply have a chat around an impromptu table over a cup of coffee.
