Hey all. Just to introduce myself:

I consult on emotional intelligence for organisations and individuals, merging legal advice, relationships management, contract drafting, mediation and dispute resolution.

I also teach film and media studies, focusing on scriptwriting, cultural and social studies in the arts and entertainment industries.

Hi Bruce - brilliant profile of Social Media you got there! Do you have a strategy for managing the use and content? It is just as important to track your SM in terms of your brand and the function you want the SM platform to fulfill and sometimes what it does even when you didn't ask for it ;-)

We currently have profiles on LinkedIn, Twitter, Facebook, My Genius, Greenlight, CT Business, Xing, Vimeo, Zoopy, Biznik, Plaxo, Hi5, Blueworld, Flickr, Merchant Circle and here. Might have left some off but you get a sense of my world.

We use the Social Media platform to develop and market small business owners and their products or services. Very keen to chat about new technologies and tricks in the SM world.

Is the term 'geek' still used? What with chat lingo and teenagers using words I have never heard before - there must be a new one!?!
Charles: try the Technikons or Universities (computer science fields? Taking a wild guess here). Sometimes they are quite helpful *cough splutter* ;-)
Monique: I recently attended the SangoNet ICT conference. You may find it interesting to follow - there were demos on Mxit, Flickr, 2ndLife, Twitter, Ning .... don't you just love the brand names. http://www.ngopulse.org/conference2009 Hope the link works.
