Interesting, if somewhat downbeat view of the Hollywood film financing machine - the increased demand for local productions everywhere in the world is seen as one of the threats. In general terms, the piece provides some encouragement for bold movie making with good storylines.

one of the new models for financing films is to add story idea + cause + team + financing (based more on cause) and mix in (but not rely on a broadcaster) - the broadcaster needs to become the platform not the financier - the link above is the result of a similar (not exactly) model where we partnered with some micro financer's to make a film - we are looking for VC's who want to play in this area - thanks for raising the interesting point
