Re the 13K users, I followed the link from tweekly.fm to Simon's blog www.shotbreak.com where he mentions this figure.

Hi

I am the founding member of a software development company situated in Centurion. We specialise in power management technologies. I.e. monitoring of power consumption, reporting and managing the power consumption of organisations. We focus in two areas namely the data centre and the desktop environment. Our technology currently works with the latest data centre infrastructure. Currently only with HP products.

We have been going for about two years. The development of the power management product is funded by various outsourced software development products from existing clients. All our software is written using Microsoft technologies. We are currently looking at partners to help us expand our product to other vendors such as Dell. We are also looking at partners that would be interested in reselling our existing product suite.

Hey everybody,

I'm the founder of an currently under development Web based design customization service that will allow self service design and customization of printable items online. The development work started in February this year and will run for the next 5 months. I am looking for a partner to come in when we reach our launch stage, possibly someone with internet business/ e commerce experience and technical knowledge to drive the concept both in SA and globally. The concept is well established on a global scale.

I have in the meantime come up with a "prototype" type of website to play around with over the next 5 months as development goes on. Any ideas and insights will surely be welcomed. www.idezignit.co.za

Hi,

I'm Chris Venter and are currently employed as Operations Manager at a Manufacturing Company.

The past year and a half I've been developing a Lotto Results webpage with the help of one of South Africas leading aggregation companies. The service is now up and running on USSD, Premium Rated SMS and Website.

I've been doing this part time and from my own available funds and have 1 Investor with a 10% share. Now that everything is up and running I need funds for marketing and developing the Website for International Lotteries.

Hi Everyone,

I've just started a consultancy focusing on assisting corporate's develop sustainable development strategies within their business operations. We specialiase in energy efficiency, water audits and carbon footprint assessments. We offer a turnkey solutions providing recommendations on technology to implement, provide a business case and project manage the implementation.

I'm just finding it challenging to get my foot into the corporate door so to speak, so I've resorted to the dreaded cold calling without much success. I have made some contacts through networking and there are some opportunities but these all take time to get approval from business.

Any ideas on how I can approach the business development aspect?
