The bandwidth barn has organized a LaunchCapeTown event and competition that looks very interesting. Part of the event is another CTEC (Cape Town Entrepreneurship Competition) which seems to have a strong focus on technology.

There are some nice software focused mentors there that you can checkout on the mentor page.

It would be great to have a strong turn out of high quality innovative software start-up ideas that enter into the competition, so if you've got an idea floating around, get your self together and apply this week! It looks like it will really be worthwhile, and applying to this may really help to get you into the spotlight when the cape town is searching for high quality start-ups at a later point.

Make sure you sign up for the pre-event TechBash party over here, and watch out for notice of some mentor sessions that may be open to the public.

Feel free to chat here about your opinions of the event and whether you're considering applying, which you can do here.
